Automation Engineer (M/F)

Your mission

Are you passionate about automation, industrial control systems, and high-tech engineering projects? This role is for you.

As an Automation Engineer, you will contribute to the design, programming, testing, and deployment of safety-related automation systems within complex industrial environments. You’ll collaborate closely with system architects and engineers to ensure reliability, efficiency, and innovation in every project.

Build responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and design automation solutions based on project needs.

• Define hardware and software specifications for control systems.

• Develop, program, and test PLC and SCADA systems.

• Commission and validate safety-related automation systems.

• Ensure project documentation complies with Quality Management System (QMS) standards.

• Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to deliver robust, secure, and compliant automation solutions.

Run responsibilities

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting after system start-up.

• Perform preventive maintenance and ensure continuous improvement of automation systems.

• Optimize existing automation architectures to increase performance and safety.

• Contribute to technical reviews and project reporting.

Your profile

• Engineering degree in Automation or Electrical/Electronic Engineering (specialization in control systems).

• 5 years of relevant experience in automation and industrial control systems.

• Experience working within structured, process-driven environments (QMS).

• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

• Customer-focused and results-oriented.

• Fluent in French, with good command of English.

• Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 20%, short trips in Europe and Asia).

Your expertise

• PLC programming: Siemens S7-400, S7-1500, including Safety PLC (S7-1500 Safety).

• Siemens automation solutions (PLC, industrial control).

• SCADA development: Wonderware Intouch (Aveva), Siemens WinCC.

• Industrial communication protocols: PROFIBUS, PROFINET, S7-comms, PROFISAFE.

• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and Kepware (asset).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
