Senior Azure Cloud Engineer (M/F)
Job description:
Join a cross-functional Engineering Chapter responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining cloud-native infrastructures and platforms that support large-scale digital transformation initiatives in the energy and utilities sector.
You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of Microsoft Azure environments while enabling automation, compliance, and continuous improvement across teams.
Missions:
Deploy and configure Azure cloud resources following standardized deployment and governance models.
Design and implement automation and Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform.
Ensure compliance and security of cloud infrastructures (identity, encryption, firewalls, ISO/NIS2 frameworks).
Monitor, patch, and optimize cloud workloads to maintain reliability and performance.
Manage incidents, perform root cause analysis, and apply preventive measures.
Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and architects in an Agile/DevOps environment.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical and operational documentation.
Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in cloud operations.
Contribute to continuous improvement in reliability, efficiency, and cost management.
Work environment:
Within a cross-functional cloud engineering team, working in a hybrid model.
Work schedule:
Day work with participation in on-call rotation for after-hours support.
Telework:
Hybrid model – 2 days per week on site.
Technical environment:
Azure Cloud (Landing Zones, Networking, Governance), Terraform (IaC), Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Azure SQL, MongoDB, ArgoCD.
Expected deliverables:
Automation scripts, monitoring dashboards, security documentation, operational reporting, and root cause analyses.

Required profile:
You have at least 5 years of proven experience in Cloud Engineering with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure.
You are passionate about cloud automation, scalability, and operational excellence, and have solid experience as a Cloud or DevOps Engineer within complex enterprise environments.
In order to carry out this assignment successfully, you must be proficient in:
Technologies:
Azure (Networking, Governance, EntraID, PIM, Azure Policies, Defender), Terraform (HCL), Kubernetes, CI/CD (Azure DevOps, ArgoCD), Monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry), Databases (Azure SQL, MongoDB).
Methodologies:
Agile, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD).
Business knowledge:
Cloud security compliance, energy systems, or critical infrastructure management is an asset.
Certifications:
Mandatory: AZ-104 – Azure Administrator Associate
Preferred: AZ-700, AZ-500, KCNA, CKA
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
Leadership and mentoring abilities.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Autonomous, proactive, and adaptable in fast-paced environments.
Fluent English (C1); French or Dutch (B1) is an asset.
