Data Engineer
This is your mission
Are you passionate about data engineering and regulatory reporting? Then this position is for you.
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining robust, scalable data pipelines and systems in our ecosystem:
Build side:
Design and develop Python-based data extraction and processing pipelines
Implement robust connections to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services
Build scalable data transformation solutions for regulatory reporting
Develop and maintain PL/SQL procedures for complex database operations
Create automated data validation and quality assurance processes
Implement secure data handling procedures compliant with banking regulations
Run side:
Design efficient data models supporting regulatory data dictionary requirements
Integrate multiple internal banking systems and data sources
Optimize database performance for large-scale regulatory data processing
Implement real-time and batch data processing workflows
Ensure data lineage and audit trail capabilities
Collaborate with business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions
This is your background
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related IT field
5+ years of advanced Python development experience, including Pandas, Polars, NumPy, SQLAlchemy
3+ years of PL/SQL/Oracle DB development experience, with complex stored procedures and performance tuning
1+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Dataflow)
Understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

You have developed strong expertise in data processing, regulatory reporting, and cloud-based architecture, and you are ready to take ownership of critical regulatory data initiatives.
You will work closely with business, IT, and regulatory teams and contribute to strategic projects that shape reporting standards across the euro area.
This is your expertise:
Python development: 5+ years, with Pandas, Polars, NumPy, SQLAlchemy, async programming, and testing frameworks (pytest/unittest)
GCP experience: BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Dataflow (1+ year hands-on)
PL/SQL & Oracle DB: 3+ years, including complex stored procedures, functions, packages, and performance tuning
ETL / Data Warehouse: Strong understanding of data pipelines, modeling, and processing workflows
Version control & CI/CD: Git, containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes)
Bonus: Airflow, Kafka, Pub/Sub, microservices architecture, regulatory compliance frameworks
