Senior AWS Data Engineers
This is your mission
Are you passionate about cloud-native data engineering, scalable data platforms, and turning raw data into business value? Then this position is for you.
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will design, build, and operate high-performance data pipelines within AWS and Snowflake environments, contributing to the delivery and reliability of data products used by business and analytical teams.
Build side:
You will contribute to the design and implementation of data platforms and pipelines:
Design and implement cloud-based data pipelines ingesting data from multiple sources (APIs, FTP, SFTP, etc.)
Develop batch and streaming pipelines with monitoring and alerting capabilities
Build and optimize data transformations and processing logic
Design and implement data models, tables, views, and procedures
Apply data quality, functional, and non-functional testing
Contribute to data governance initiatives (metadata, cataloguing, documentation)
Ensure solutions align with architecture, security, and performance standards
Run side:
You will ensure the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of data products:
Operate and monitor data pipelines in production
Troubleshoot incidents and support internal users
Optimize queries and data structures for scalability and performance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and delivery
Participate in CI/CD processes for data products
Continuously improve pipeline reliability, maintainability, and observability
This is your background
You have at least 5 years of experience in demanding data engineering environments, with strong exposure to cloud-native architectures.
You enjoy working at the intersection of data, cloud, and business, and you are motivated by environments where engineering excellence, collaboration, and long-term vision are key drivers.
This is your expertise:
Technical skills
Strong experience with AWS data services (S3, ECS, Lambda, RDS, SNS/SQS, IAM, CloudWatch)
Advanced SQL and analytical database programming
Proven experience with Snowflake (design, development, optimization)
Strong Python skills (Pandas, Boto3, data processing libraries)
Experience with data modelling and data platform architecture
Knowledge of orchestration tools (Step Functions, Airflow, Prefect)
CI/CD practices and version control tools (GitHub / GitLab)
Nice to have
DBT Core
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
Data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau)
AWS and/or Snowflake certifications
Languages
English: C1
Portuguese and/or French: a plus
